Oracle, MongoDB, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL Database Administrator (4 6 Years Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with 4 6 years of hands-on expertise, primarily in Oracle database administration, and secondary skills in SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MongoDB. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing our database environments, ensuring high availability and performance across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle DBA (Primary)
SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MongoDB DBA (Secondary)
Provide support for SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments: installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Assist with performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
Migration and integration projects between database platforms.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all supported databases.
General DBA Duties
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to support application requirements.
Document database architectures, processes, and procedures.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: 4 6 years as a DBA, with at least 3 years focused on Oracle.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in Oracle database administration (11g/12c/19c).
Working knowledge of SQL Server and PostgreSQL administration.
Experience with backup/recovery strategies and high availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard, AlwaysOn, etc.).
Familiarity with database monitoring tools and automation scripting (PL/SQL, T-SQL, Bash, PowerShell).
Understanding of database security, user management, and auditing.
Soft Skills:
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL (OCP, MCSA, etc.).
Experience in cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud).
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments. ",
